Hidden Tapsihan - Cavite's Premier Tapsilog Place - Kawit, Cavite, Philippines

For true blooded Caviteńos, if you want Tapsilog, Hidden Tapsihan is the first place that comes into mind.  You are maybe wondering why it is called "Hidden Tapsihan"?  It is called as such because the original store is located in a small alley in Brgy. Wakas, Kawit, Cavite that is really very difficult to find.  You will be probably need to ask locals for directions if you want to visit the place.

The Tapsihan has been around for a long time already and I remembered buying tapsilog here on a regular basis since I was a kid.  Since it's humble beginnings which started in just a small hut, their tapsilog became so famous that today, they have several branches now located in different parts of Cavite.  While their tapa is good, what separate them from other tapsihan's is their home made vinegar which a perfect condiment to the tapa.  The original-main tapsihan is open 24-hours but other branches are open from 9AM-12MN.

Aside from Tapsilog, they also serve other silog dishes that are also worth trying.  My personal favorite aside from their Tapsilog is the Lechon Kawali with Egg.

This Tapsihan is already an institution in Cavite specially for those living in Kawit.  It's their go to Tapsilog place since it is open 24-7.  We always make it a point that we visit the place if we have time.  I really love the simplicity of the food and the homemade vinegar sauce which I almost tend to drink a bit too much.
