San Pedro Fish Market is a place where you can buy fresh seafood and have it
cooked usually seared "A la Plancha" style with fajita vegetables.
Although they serve a lot of seafood, they are famous for their Shrimp Tray
where in you can opt to add on additional seafood like lobsters, crabs, fish,
calamari, and other add ons like potato wedges, corn, and garlic bread.
The restaurant is an al fresco style seating just beside the harbor.
This is a very popular restaurant in this side of Los Angeles so make sure to
come as early as you can or at least be prepared for long queues specially on
weekends. You can choose do buy the fresh seafood on their market or just
go directly to the different food stalls and order them directly.
Seafood are really fresh and you can see them in action, cooking the food for
you. The Shrimp Tray for me is the best option to order. It is for
sharing so I suggest going here in groups. But, you can also order other
individual seafood dishes if you prefer to. Here is their menu:

space)
Price: 7/10 (price is a bit on the touristy side)

queue is what's ticking me off.
You can find the Grand Central Market at 317 S Broadway in the actual city of
Los Angeles. The Market opened in 1917 and has always housed food
vendors. A few years back, the owners started gathering a new
generation of food and drink vendors, and it wasn’t long before the market
started earning national acclaim. The Market is a microcosm of the
historic immigrant communities that have shaped Los Angeles and a mosaic of
the creativity and vision of the people who call this city home.
The market has been in continuous operation for over 100 years, cycling
through descending generations of Angelenos working as customers and food
stall managers. From green grocers to fishmongers, Jewish delis, butchers,
baked goods, flowers, coffee and cheese -- visitors can find anything they
need here while supporting a longstanding local business establishment at
Grand Central Market.
Grand Central Market is open every day from 8am to 10pm and admission is
free. The parking garage is at 308 S Hill Street at a cost depending on how
many hours you will be utilizing it. There is no validation offered at the
Grand Central Market so you’ll just have to pay up.
This market encompasses 30,000 square feet of food stalls and retail space.
The interior and exterior sitting spaces provide a shared gathering place to
meet friends, bring a date, or take the kids on a trip to DTLA. The Grand
Central Market is considered the oldest and largest Market in DTLA.
Overall, if you are a foodie, it is highly recommended that you visit Grand
Central Market. The variety of food that you will encounter here is on
a different level. Grand Central Market provides Los Angeles with a
national-caliber eating experience that showcases California’s best
ingredients, chefs, and entrepreneurs.

If you're in Manila, one of the best place to eat seafood is in Seaside
Seafood Market. Is located along Macapagal Blvd in Pasay City and it has
probably the most variety of seafood in Manila area. The set-up here is
you buy fresh seafood from the market and choose from the many restaurants
lined up in the area where you can have them cooked the way you want them
to. Make sure you scout the market for the best fresh seafood and haggle
for the prices.

After you buying your seafood, you then pick a restaurant where you can have
it cooked. I have been here several times and each time I come here, I
choose a new restaurant to have my seafood cooked. I do this to know
which restaurant has the best cooking. Today, I picked 'Sis Seafood
Palutuan', which has good reviews among the restaurants in this place.
There is a cooking charge for every seafood you bring to the restaurant.
Price depends on how it was cooked and they charge by the kilo. Prices are
shown on the image above. Today I bought shrimps, mud crabs (alimango),
spanner crab (curacha), and slipper lobster.

Dining here at Seaside Seafood Market is better for groups as you'll
probably ending up buying a lot like what I did. Unfortunately for
me, I just went in solo. I guess, I'll just have them to go if I
can't finish them. They cooked all my seafood perfectly with just
the right amount of flavors. Sis Seafood Palutuan is open from
10:30AM to 11:00PM daily. If you don't like to go to the wet market
and buy the seafood on your own, the restaurant can buy it for you
too. Hey, but where's the fun in that? Right? The strolling
around the market seeing all the seafood and actual haggling of prices is
a great experience itself.
Just look at those crabs (pic above) and all that crab meat and fat, it
doesn't get any better than that! This place is highly recommended
if you are a seafood lover. It simply just a seafood haven!
