San Pedro Fish Market - Home To The World Famous Shrimp Tray - Los Angeles CA U.S.A.

San Pedro Fish Market is a place where you can buy fresh seafood and have it cooked usually seared "A la Plancha" style with fajita vegetables.  Although they serve a lot of seafood, they are famous for their Shrimp Tray where in you can opt to add on additional seafood like lobsters, crabs, fish, calamari, and other add ons like potato wedges, corn, and garlic bread.  The restaurant is an al fresco style seating just beside the harbor.

This is a very popular restaurant in this side of Los Angeles so make sure to come as early as you can or at least be prepared for long queues specially on weekends.  You can choose do buy the fresh seafood on their market or just go directly to the different food stalls and order them directly.

Seafood are really fresh and you can see them in action, cooking the food for you.  The Shrimp Tray for me is the best option to order.  It is for sharing so I suggest going here in groups. But, you can also order other individual seafood dishes if you prefer to.  Here is their menu:

My Rating:
Food/Taste:  8/10 (fresh seafood cooked as you order)
Ambiance:  6/10 (although you have a sea view, it can be packed at busy hours)
Cleanliness:  7/10 (due to the high turn over rate, some tables are not cleaned right away)
Service: 6/10 (mostly self service but staff are helpful)
Establishment:  9/10 (good location with lot of free parking space)
Price:  7/10 (price is a bit on the touristy side)
Overall7.17/10

Frequency Meter:  I would dine here once a quarter.  The long queue is what's ticking me off.
