For those of you who have never been in a motel in the Philippines, and want to try it out, here are some info and tips that may be helpful for you.
1. There are two(2) types of Motels, one is the Drive-In, and a Walk-In motel. Others have facilities for both.
a) Drive-In Motels usually, have rooms with their own garage. The garage is usually closed to protect your vehicle from getting spotted. Once you enter the motel entrance, a room boy or duty officer will approach you and from there you can transact with them without getting out of your car. When you have agreed on the room type that you will be availing, the room boy or duty officer will escort you to your room. Sometimes the room isn't ready yet, so you have to wait around 10-20 mins for a clean room.
b) For Walk-Ins, some Motels will require you to make transactions with the front desk, while in some, duty officers will approach you. In cases that you need to wait for a clean room, there are usually waiting booths separately for each couple for privacy purposes.
