Al Dar Island Day Tour

Al Dar Island is one of the best places to enjoy the beach specially during summer time.  It's a small island near Sitra in Bahrain and a 10-15 minute boat ride from the port.  In order to get here, you must first register in their office in Sitra, pay the entrance of BD8 for adults and BD4 for children.  You will be needing a government issued ID upon registration so make sure that you bring one if you go there.

After registration and payment for entrance, you will be accompanied to the pier where you will be riding a speed boat to Al Dar Island. You will also be passing through a shipyard of traditional fishing boats along the pier.

Watch this YouTube video for a glimpse of Al Dar Island:

After the 10-minute speedboat ride, you will now reach Al Dar Island.  The small Island Resort has patches of cream sand beaches with numerous beach huts.  You can bring your own food inside or order in their restaurant and bar within the island.  A convenience store/souvenir shop is also situated in the island.  Other recreational facilities like basketball court, volleyball court, mini golf, and camping areas are available in the resort.  The speedboat ride is complimentary and is available every 30 minutes picking up guest to and fro the island.

We didn't bring food so we just ordered in the restaurant.  There is also a bar that serves alcoholic drinks which is really a treat specially in these parts of the world.  The eating areas comes with great views of the beach.

You can also stay overnight in the island as beach chalets are available.  There are 3 types of chalets, 4 person chalet for BD65 per night, 6 person chalet for BD90 per night, and the 22 person chalet for BD285 per night.

Al Dar Island is a cool place to visit in Bahrain.  I recommend this place specially for small or large groups who wants to swim and relax in the beach during hot summer days.  This place is also perfect to get drunk and stay overnight.  For more information about the island resort, you may visit their website at https://www.aldarislands.com/.
