Funnside Ningnangan - Paluto Grill And Restaurant - Kawit, Cavite, Philippines

 

Looking for a new restaurant in Cavite? Check out Funnside Ningnangan in Kawit Cavite.  It is one of the newest additions of restaurants in the Kawit area along Centennial Road.  The restaurant is a 'paluto style' and grill restaurant. It is open from 11AM to 11PM daily.

For the seafood, you will pick from the fresh produce and have them cooked the way you want it.  You pay the seafood per kilo with no additional cooking charges.  Other 'paluto' restaurants charge additional for cooking fee, but here, it's free.

Aside from the fresh seafood, they also have pre-cooked dishes and other meat items for grilling.

Funnside Ningnangan is a self-service restaurant.  You will have to get your plates, spoon, and fork yourself.  There's also a section where you can get your ice, and service water with pitchers.  Cooking time ranges from 15-45 minutes depending on the number of customers dining.  Lunch time from 11am to 1pm and dinner time from 6pm to 8pm are usually the most busiest hours.

Food was really good and price is cheaper compared to other 'dampa' or 'paluto' restaurants that I've been to.  I also like the open air, native style ambiance of the restaurant.  It is perfect for big and small family gatherings or just simply having a beer or two with your favorite grilled items.

Food/Taste:  8.5/10 (food tastes good, simple heart warming dishes)

Ambiance:  8.5/10 (I like the open air, native style ambiance)

Cleanliness:  8/10 (fairly clean)

Service: 6/10 (there could be long waiting times during peak hours and it's self-service)

Establishment:  9/10 (easy to find with parking)

Price:  8/10 (competitive prices, no cooking charges)

Overall: 8.0/10
